Gene Wilder, the star of such as films as Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, Blazing Saddles and Silver Streak, has died at age 83, according to family.

As the iconic Willy Wonka, Wilder had a huge impact on millions of kids for generations. He also starred in some of the best loved comedies of all time, collaborating with Mel Brooks in films like Young Frankenstein, and teaming up with Richard Pryor in Stir Crazy and See No Evil, Hear No Evil.
