Carson on Clinton 'Pay-to-Play' Allegations: 'It's Pretty Obvious What's Going On'
Dr. Ben Carson appeared on "Fox and Friends Weekend" this morning to react to newly released Hillary Clinton emails that allegedly show she granted special “access” and “favors” to Clinton Foundation donors during her State Department tenure.
"It's pretty obvious what's going on," Carson said. "The only people who don't understand it are people who don't want to understand it and who are sticking their heads in the sand and trying to deny, deny, deny."'
"That's the way the criminal element does this. Never admit guilt and just keep denying it."
He noted that the Clinton campaign has said that if Hillary is elected, then the Clinton Foundation will stop accepting donations from corporations and foreign parties.
He wondered why they would feel the need to take that step if all the foundation's activities are "perfectly fine."
"And if it's not fine, then why would they wait until then to do it?"
