A determined and terrified seal narrowly escaped some hungry orcas by climbing aboard a whale-watching boat in British Columbia, Canada.

Kirk Fraser filmed the amazing incident and posted it online.

The panicked creature, caught between a pack of killer whales and some humans he didn't know, fell off the ship three times before getting a firm footing beside the motor.

The intelligent orcas continued circling the boat for more than half an hour, aware of the proximity of their prey.

In one harrowing moment that happened later, the seal hid between the twin engines with the orcas just on the other side.

But the seal got away with his life in the end, and Fraser and his companions cheered him while he swam off.
