A Philadelphia-area barber got the shock of his life when the man he had been unassumingly cutting the hair of for 20 minutes turned out to be a major political player, the Harrisburg Patriot-News reported.

Henry Jones, 74, the proprietor of Jones Barber & Hairstyles in Norristown was shocked to find out the soft-spoken man in his chair was indeed Donald Trump’s Republican running mate, Mike Pence.

Fresh off a rally in neighboring King of Prussia, Pence, his wife Karen and their children talked sports and exchanged pleasantries about marriage as he prepared for a second event.

At the end of the session, Jones asked the customer his name.

“Mike Pence, I’m the governor of Indiana, and I’m running for vice president of the United States...with Donald Trump. I heard you were the place to come for a haircut,” Pence replied.

A shocked Jones responded, “Vice President! Come on here," and posed for a picture.

“Oh boy. This is history over here, man!” Jones said.

Fox 59 reported that prior to Pence’s arrival, Jones said he was told GOP State Representative Mike Vereb of West Norriton would be getting his hair cut instead.

What do you think of Pence's surprise visit? Let us know in the comments.
