Starting Young: 12-Year-Old Operates Trump Campaign Office in Key Colo. County
Politics is an endeavor for all ages, at least according to one Colorado boy.
“Get involved,” 12-year-old Weston Imer, who hails from a swing state, told Fox affiliate KDVR, “Kids need to be educated.”
Weston, the campaign co-chair for Jefferson County, is in charge of operations for the Wheat Ridge, Colo., office for Republican Donald Trump's presidential campaign.
The headquarters is situated in a critical part of Colorado, just outside of Denver.
He can often be found instructing volunteers and making phone calls to garner support for the New York businessman.
Weston’s mother, Laurel, is the official field coordinator on record. “Parents have a responsibility to educate their kids,” she said.
Weston also has an offer for The Donald’s youngest son: “Definitely [in] 2040, watch for me, and Barron Trump if you’re watching, I’ll take you as my running mate,” he said.
