Rudy Giuliani says that Donald Trump may have expressed "regret" for some of the things he's said and done on the campaign trail, but Hillary Clinton is the one who actually needs to apologize.

During a "Fox News Sunday" interview, Giuliani pointed to several apology-worthy controversies surrounding the Democratic nominee, including conflicting narratives about the Benghazi terror attack, "pay-to-play" allegations about the Clinton Foundation and the scandal surrounding her private email server.

"So, she deserves to give the American people an apology," Giuliani stated. "She certainly should give us an apology for having been found completely careless in handling national security information."

He argued that Clinton is managing to put distance between herself and Trump in the polls - despite these many controversies - because she has the mainstream media on her side.

"She doesn't need to campaign," Giuliani said. "She has The New York Times, she has The Daily News, she has ABC, she has CBS, she has NBC, she has an entire media empire that constantly demonizes Donald Trump and fails to point out that she hasn't had a press conference in [hundreds of] days."
