This week, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump announced that he had accepted the resignation of his campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, who led the campaign for the last few months.

Republican pollster Kellyanne Conway was named Manafort’s effective replacement as campaign manager, along with Breitbart News chief Stephen Bannon who joined the campaign as CEO.

Manafort had replaced Trump’s initial campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski.

While discussing Trump’s Friday speech near Lansing, Mich., Greg Gutfeld referenced the candidate’s pronouncement that his presidency would bring a “new American future.”

“It literally is a 'new future' for him now that Manafort is out,” Gutfeld said on 'The Five'.

“He now has more managers than Costco,” Gutfeld added, referencing the wholesale grocery chain.

“Remember, there was a new Donald Trump four months ago. You can’t change somebody at [age] 70,” he said.

Dana Perino said the speech concluded a “wild week” for Trump.

“[There were] so many highs and lows,” Perino said.
