Thiel: 'I'm Proud to Be Gay... But Most of All, I'm Proud to Be an American'
Billionaire investor Peter Thiel addressed the Republican National Convention, declaring that he's proud to be gay and a Republican, but proudest to be an American.
The co-founder of PayPal slammed the government for being mired in old technology, saying "our government is broken."
"We don't accept such incompetence in Silicon Valley, and must not accept it from our government."
He said that the world doesn't need to see Hillary's emails because "her incompetence is in plain sight."
"On this most important issue, Donald Trump is right! It's time to end the era of stupid wars and rebuild our country."
Finally, Thiel talked about the "fake culture wars" dragging the country down. He said that debating who gets to use which bathrooms is a distraction from the country's real problems, including its economic decline.
"Of course, every American has a unique identity. I am proud to be gay. I am proud to be a Republican. But most of all I am proud to be an American."
