Don't miss the next episode of the hit docu-series Legends & Lies on Sunday at 8:00pm ET on Fox News Channel!

In Legends & Lies: The Patriots, you get to see the American Revolution, as it really happened.

On last week's episode, we saw General George Washington take command of the Continental Army and discover a traitor in the ranks.

In the next episode, Thomas Jefferson: Independence Declared, the Continental Congress convenes and after a bitter struggle between rebels and loyalists, they are convinced to declare independence.

Thomas Jefferson squabbles with Ben Franklin and John Adams over the text that will become America's founding document. The declaration is signed and read throughout the colonies. In New York, Washington uses Jefferson's words to rally his troops, but they may not be enough to help hold the colonies’ most strategic city.
