Two passengers on a Delta flight revealed on social media that former star quarterback Tim Tebow was among those who helped a man during an in-flight medical emergency.

Passenger Richard Gotti wrote on Facebook about the experience Sunday afternoon after flying from Atlanta to Phoenix.

Gotti said an older man appeared to be having heart problems and was unconscious, when flight attendants and passengers rushed to help.

Tebow is shown in Gotti's photo alongside the man's family members.

Gotti wrote:

I observed people praying and lifting this man up to the Lord in a way that I've never seen before. The crew of Delta Airlines were amazing. They acted in a fast and professional manner! Then all of a sudden, I observed a guy walking down the aisle. That guy was Tim Tebow. He met with the family as they cried on his shoulder! I watched Tim pray with the entire section of the plane for this man. He made a stand for God in a difficult situation.

Another passenger, Pamela Rainey, spoke about the incident on Instagram, snapping a photo of the ex-Florida Gator sitting in front of her.

The former Heisman Trophy winner has not said anything about the incident.

People magazine reported that the man, in his 60s, later died at a hospital.

The magazine reported that Tebow, 28, helped the man's wife and friend with luggage and went with them to the hospital.
