Former Neighbor of Orlando Terrorist: He Was Always 'Super Sweet'

Hillary Clinton made the case for the United States to implement tougher restrictions on gun purchases following the terror attack at a gay nightclub in Orlando.

Speaking this afternoon in Cleveland, Clinton pushed back against those who argue that the attack is about terrorism, not legal gun purchases.

“We have to make it harder for people who should not have those weapons of war," she said, calling for enhanced background checks.

She acknowledged that these measures would not stop all future mass shootings, but that it could stop some and therefore, save lives.

Clinton said that the AR-15 was the weapon of choice for Omar Mateen in Orlando, the San Bernardino shooters and the Sandy Hook Elementary School attacker.

"You shouldn't be able to exploit loopholes ... by buying online or at a gun show," she added.

Clinton said the country should put politics aside today and come together like in the days after 9/11/2001.

"We know already the barbarity that we face from radical jihadists is profound," she said, adding that terrorists cannot be allowed to buy "assault weapons."
