Tonight on The Kelly File, Glenn Beck commented on the interview with author Brad Thor that led to his radio show's week-long suspension.

In the interview, Thor asked "what patriot will step up" if Donald Trump "oversteps his mandate as president."

The comment sounded to a lot of people like Thor was advocating assassination, but Beck denied there was a death threat.

"There was really no outrage. It was internal politics that really brought this to the forefront."

Beck said that no one is a stronger advocate of non-violence than he is.

"What was in my mind was, who is going to be that 'Jimmy Stewart' who will stand alone, because without Congress, they're not gonna do it. So who's gonna stand there and rally the people?"
