Not in my backyard!

A southern California homeowner got quite the surprise when police descended on his property at around 5 in the morning.

A driver, attempting to elude police, had entered his yard and hid out right in his jacuzzi!

Erick Flowers, 29, was taken into custody after police found him literally in hot water, beneath the tub's cover.

Flowers tried to flee when officers attempted to pull him over for traffic violations. His passenger also made a run for it and was arrested.

Police said Flowers was under the influence of methamphetamine and they found a loaded, sawed-off shotgun in the car, along with stolen property and drug paraphernalia.

Homeowner Don Norell, who recorded the amazing scene, joined Bill Hemmer this morning to go over what happened.

Norell said it looked like Flowers was dead when officers took the cover off, but he had actually passed out in the 104-degree water.

He said he never imagined something like this happening, noting that there's a 21-foot wall separating his backyard from the freeway.

Norell said, nevertheless, he's going to look into putting a lock on the tub's cover.
