Unthinkable Tragedy: 4 of 5 Sisters Killed in FL Highway Crash
An unthinkable tragedy occurred on Memorial Day in Florida, as four of five sisters were killed in a car accident.
The crash happened Monday when Latorya Brown and her boyfriend brought the five girls and four other children to the beach to celebrate her birthday.
As they drove northbound on I-95, one of the Dodge SUV's tires blew out and the car flipped several times.
The girls, Amunya, 15, Jazmin, 14, Niashia, 13, and Nadia, 10, were ejected from the vehicle and died. Their nine-year-old sister, Shakara, survived the crash.
A GoFundMe page was set up to help the family with the funeral arrangements and other costs.
The girls' grandmother, Glenda Wright, said donations can also be made at any Wells Fargo branch in the country to the Cruz Girls Memorial Fund.
Brown's boyfriend's nephew, 3-year-old Keshaen Walker, was found on the other side of a barrier wall. He was rushed to the hospital, where he is still being treated.
The other boys in the car were also ejected, but survived, with some suffering broken legs and other injuries.
