Amb. Bolton: 'You Can't Do What Hillary Did and Get Away With It'

Donald Trump spoke from Trump Tower this morning to announce a list of donations to veterans groups.

He said that $5.6 million has been distributed to dozens of groups in the form of certified checks.

Trump said his organization has been vetting each charitable group in recent months before making the large donations.

He said that in the case of one group, Project for Patriots, $100,000 has been earmarked and will be donated once the group provides the required documentation.

The largest contribution of $1.1 million went to the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation.

Trump said that he expects more donations to come through, pushing the amount over $6 million.

He defended his decision to announce the donations in a news conference by saying that he was left with no choice due to "false" stories by the media about the contributions.

"I wasn't looking for the credit, but I had no choice but to do this because the press was saying I didn't raise any money," said Trump.
