A sports anchor called out his on-air colleague for "stealing" his story in an awkward local news moment that quickly went viral.

Gary Radnich, sports anchor at KRON-TV in San Francisco, began to read a story about "Space Jam 2" but then stopped.

Radnich then called out the fact that anchor Catherine Heenan had already read that story during the broadcast.

"Are you mad? Because I already read that," Heenan asked.

Radnich then questioned Heenan on whether she's ever heard him report the weather or other local stories.

Heenan responded with an exasperated eye-roll, telling him to talk to the producer about it.

"Don't try and pit me against the producer," said Radnich, before mockingly asking Heenan about Warriors star Stephen Curry's knee.

Radnich later said on Facebook that he was just pretending to be mad, though that clearly did not come across to viewers and the internet at-large.

On social media, many have branded this "cringe-worthy," painful and made comparisons to the movie "Anchorman."
