Funny VIRAL: Read This Panicked Dad's Texts to His Wife About Their Carsick Son
Who said parenting was easy?
A California dad's day took quite the turn while he was out for a drive with his young son.
Ben Patterson, in a panic, texted his wife, Stephanie, after their son vomited all over himself.
The problem for Patterson was that the smell of Declan's vomit was making him throw up on someone's lawn.
He posted to Facebook the series of texts that he sent to his wife, who was out with friends.
A bystander was watching Patterson vomit and thought he might be drunk.
"I seriously don't know what to do..." he wrote.
“ANSWER YOUR PHONE!!!!” he pleaded, as Declan continued to throw up.
Patterson later updated his Facebook post, explaining that the texts about the police and the Breathalyzer was just for "dramatic effect."
It's awesome to see so many people found this so funny! It's been ridiculous to see this hilarity go viral. I just wanted to clarify that while the rest of the story is true, the part about the police coming and the breathalyzer was just something I added for dramatic effect for my wife in the moment. Now that the story has blown up, I wouldn’t want anyone to think badly of the Burlingame PD because I was joking! The truth counts. I actually went down to Burlingame PD and chatted with them and we had a good laugh about it. The 'barf heard round the world’ was bad, but it didn’t include a breathalyzer!
The Facebook post of poor Declan has been shared 160,000 times!
