Report: Prince Treated for Drug Overdose Six Days Before Death
TMZ is reporting that Prince was treated for a drug overdose just six days before his death.
Sources told TMZ that Prince was rushed to the hospital and given a "save shot," usually used to counteract opiates.
This happening when Prince's plane made an emergency landing in Moline, Illinois, 48 minutes away from their destination in Minneapolis.
He spent three hours at the hospital, then was discharged and reboarded the plane to Minneapolis.
His representatives said he had the flu.
He was found dead this morning in the elevator at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota, where he lived.
An autopsy will be conducted tomorrow.
UPDATE, 9:06 pm ET: TMZ's Harvey Levin told "The Kelly File" that Prince was seen pacing around the parking lot outside a local Walgreens waiting for someone to come out on Wednesday night. It was reportedly his fourth visit to the pharmacy that week.
"The dots are increasingly connecting," Levin said, about their investigation. "We are told officially, at least, that they are going to do toxicology on him and the toxicology will take two weeks. So we won't know definitively until the toxicology comes back."
