Driver and Motorcyclist Get Into Incredibly Dangerous Road Rage Battle

Authorities in northern Japan took an escaped chimpanzee back into custody who desperately avoided capture by climbing an electric pole.

The chimp named Chacha was on the run for nearly two hours after he disappeared from Yagiyama Zoological Park in Sendai.

TV footage showed Chacha perched atop the pole, agitated and screaming at zoo workers below.

After one of the workers shot Chacha with a tranquilizer dart, the muscle-bound ape lunged for him.

Eventually, Chacha lost consciousness and fell dramatically from the wires and was caught in a blanket by the workers below.

A zoo staffer told the French news agency that Chacha is doing fine after the scary fall.

Officials are investigating how he escaped.
