The Internet is freaking out over the striking resemblance between a man's great-great-grandfather and Hollywood superstar Matthew McConaughey.

On Monday, Sanders Parker shared an old photo captioned "My Great Great Grandfather looks just like Matthew McConaughey" to Reddit.

Many Reddit users immediately agreed that the two appear to be doppelgangers, and the photo has quickly been viewed more than one million times.

"The likeness is uncanny. It was too good not to share," Parker told ABC News.

Sanders revealed that the old family photo has been floating around for years, and his sister was the one who finally noticed the spot-on resemblance.

"His name was Dr. Andrew Sanders, and he's also where I get my namesake from," Sanders revealed. "Apparently he was the man."
