Playing Out the Rest of the GOP Race: Will Trump Reach 1,237 Delegates?

Martha Asks Trump Spox: How Is Cruz Trying to 'Steal' Nomination?

Donald Trump supporter Dr. Ben Carson went "On The Record" tonight to discuss the state of the 2016 race and what could happen in the event of a contested Republican National Convention.

Carson said that if the GOP establishment finds a way to nominate a candidate other than front-runner Trump, it could be disastrous for the party and the country.

"Is it worth losing everything to manipulate the will of the people?" Carson asked. "Or do you want to have rules that honor the will of the people?"

Carson explained that listening to the will of the people is how the Republican Party can grow in numbers and enthusiasm and win the 2016 election.

He added that if the GOP doesn't do that, however, a loss to the Democrats is all but guaranteed.

"The people have said that they don't like the path that we've been on," Carson said. "They want to change it."
