A woman enjoying a serene nature walk wasn't expecting to run into a Florida panther.

Tina Dorschel was walking along the boardwalk at Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary boardwalk early Monday morning, when she encountered the endangered cougar.

The panther seemed equally surprised by the encounter and quickly zipped by Dorschel, making a bit of a racket.

The sanctuary's Facebook page said that panthers are shy and this kind of experience was lucky and extremely rare.

Watch the breathtaking moment above.
