Peters: Obama Admin 'Romanticizes' Islam, Finds Christians 'Distasteful'

As the Senate's Republican leadership vows not to consider President Obama's latest pick for the Supreme Court, Judge Merrick Garland, some Republican senators are now saying they'll meet with the federal appeals judge.

On tonight's "Special Report," Charles Krauthammer said such meetings would be a matter of courtesy and show.

But he said that the Republicans ultimately "will not cave" on holding a confirmation hearing, and that they'd be "absolutely right to stonewall," since both sides are politically motivated.

"This is a festival of hypocrisy. The whole idea is to end up with the guy you want," Krauthammer said.

"Everybody understands that the Democrats are doing this as a way to make a political point."
