Fiery 'I Was Incensed': Prominent Gun Rights Advocate Drops Support for Cruz
A prominent gun rights advocate has suddenly dropped her support for Sen. Ted Cruz and it has nothing to do with the Second Amendment.
Jan Morgan, a gun range owner and founder of Armed American Woman, said on FBN this afternoon that she was "incensed" at Cruz's response to the protests at a Donald Trump rally in Chicago.
She withdrew her support for Cruz in a Facebook post shortly after Cruz spoke to reporters about the protests.
Morgan explained today that she feels Cruz put politics above the First Amendment.
"When my candidate starts showing he will compromise for the sake of a few votes, that's when I have to worry," said Morgan.
She said that Cruz stood with Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders and other liberals when he blamed the chaos in Chicago on Trump instead of the "lawless, anarchist thugs."
"I was further enraged when my guy, the one guy I expected to stand up and take a stand for the Constitution and the First Amendment, joined the establishment and the ranks of Hillary and Bernie," said Morgan.
