Kasich on Trade: 'The American Worker Expects Us to Stand Up'
During tonight's GOP debate, John Kasich was asked to respond to criticism that he has been catering to boardrooms at the expense of the middle class.
Kasich said his position has always been that the country needs to have "free trade, but fair trade."
He said that when other countries cheat and take advantage and vowed to "blow the whistle and stand up for the American worker."
But he said the country can't afford to "lock the doors and pull down the blinds" on international trade, because it will hurt Americans in the end.
