A Powerful Message From a Married Police Officer Couple Is Going Viral

A Baltimore schools officer has been charged with assault after being shown on video slapping and kicking a teenage student.

The cell phone video caught 44-year-old Anthony Spence as he slapped a male student in the face and head three times and kicked him once.

He could be heard telling the student to "get the [expletive] out of here."

Spence was charged Tuesday with second-degree assault, second-degree child abuse by a custodian and misconduct in office for the March 1 incident at REACH Partnership School.

He posted bond and was released today, AP reported.

Spence and the female officer seen standing behind him during the assault were placed on paid leave. It's unclear what precipitated the assault.

The Baltimore school district has its own police force that is separate from the city's police department.
