A reporter and photographer were nearly struck by a car during a live report today in San Francisco.

Reporter Alex Savidge was live on the program "Mornings on 2," covering a train derailment, according to Fox 2.

Out of nowhere, two cars collided in the background, sending one of them careening right for Savidge and his photographer, Chip Vaughan.

Savidge jumped out of the way just as the car plowed into the spot where he was standing.

He credits Vaughan for yelling, "Get out of the way!" Out of instinct, he jumped to the right, barely avoiding the oncoming vehicle.

Thankfully, no one was injured.

Update, 3:33 pm ET: The reporter came back on TV this afternoon to give Vaughan a hug and thank him for saving his life.
