Police are investigating after a horrified mother found her teenage daughter duct-taped and locked in a closet after a home invasion in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Heather Nauert reported on "Fox and Friends" that the mother, who didn't want to be identified, received text messages from her 17-year-old daughter saying there were armed robbers inside their home and she had been locked in a closet.

Scared for her daughter’s safety, the mother rushed home, and what she found was shocking.

“It’s beyond scary, it’s horrifying. I mean they took her clothes and she was in the closet. I mean nobody ever want to walk in on their child like that,” the mother said.

Police said that two white men in their early to mid-20s forced their way into the home through a back door.

The incident is under investigation.
