GOOD NEWS 'He's Not Alone': Amputee Cops Stand with Boy Who Lost Finger
These amputee police officers had a motivating message for a 9-year-old boy.
It was just recently that 9-year-old Zalend lost part of his index finger in an accident, said Texas’ Midland Police Department.
Since then, he “has been afraid to show others his injury,” they said.
So on Thursday, two of Midland’s officers met with Zalend to show him he has nothing to be ashamed of.
Lt. Rackow and Officer Edwards wanted “to show him that he's not alone, and to let him know despite any obstacle, you can achieve anything you put your mind to,” said the department.
They posted a photo of the three smiling together on their Facebook page, adding, “Let’s hear it for Zalend!”
