Rapper Lil Wayne used an unexpected delay at Indianapolis International Airport to express gratitude to members of the military.

Lil Wayne and his entourage were set to take off on Saturday, but a military C130 landed next to his Gulfstream.

After seeing about 30 members of the military walked in front of his jet, Lil Wayne apparently asked his pilot to let him off.

He then went inside the airport and shook hands with everyone who got off the plane and took pictures with them.

The scene impressed at least one onlooker, who posted about it on Facebook.

Amanda Cooper Lickliter wrote that "there was no press around and no one to show off for...just a seemingly genuine act of respect."
