Megyn Presses Trump: 'You Change Your Tune on So Many Things'
At tonight's GOP debate, Megyn Kelly pressed Donald Trump on how often he changes his positions.
She played a montage of him reversing course on the if the U.S. should have been involved in the War in Afghanistan, if the U.S. should accept refugees from the Middle East and if President George W. Bush purposefully lied to get the U.S. involved in the Iraq War.
Trump explained that he changed his positions as he received more information.
For example, he said, when he learned that the number of Middle Eastern refugees who would be brought to the U.S. wasn't a handful but thousands, he changed his mind.
"I changed my tune, and I don't think there's anything wrong with that," Trump said.
"But the point I'm going for is you change your tune on so many things, and that has some people saying, 'What is his core?'" Megyn pressed.
Trump said that any successful person must have "a certain degree of flexibility."
"If you're going to be one way and you think it's wrong, does that mean you have to go the rest of your life you have to go in the wrong direction because you don't want to change?"
