Megyn and Bret Press Rubio on His Campaign's Viability After Super Tuesday

On "The Kelly File" tonight, Megyn Kelly pressed Marco Rubio on if the only way for him to win the GOP presidential nomination is by a brokered Republican National Convention.

It's mathematically impossible for you to secure the 1,237 necessary delegates to get the nomination without a brokered convention, is it not? Megyn asked.

Rubio said this is the most unusual political cycle in modern American history, and his campaign is going to be patient as everything plays out.

As for Mitt Romney's plans to make a major speech tomorrow on the state of the 2016 race, Rubio said it's part of a broader narrative of the GOP uniting to oppose Donald Trump, as opposed to uniting behind the front-runner.

Megyn pointed out that the GOP candidates are splitting the vote, so until they de-clutter the field, it seems to be Trump's for the taking.

Rubio said that he doubts that Trump can get to 1,237 delegates, and he remains optimistic because he believes that upcoming primaries will change the complexion of the race.
