Cruz: GOP Must Unite to Beat 'Profane,' 'Vulgar,' 'Deal-Maker' Trump
Ted Cruz spoke to supporters this evening following his Super Tuesday wins in Texas and Oklahoma, calling for the other Republican presidential candidates to unite behind his campaign to take on Donald Trump.
"We could nominate a Washington deal-maker, profane and vulgar, who has a lifelong pattern of using government power for personal gain, or we can nominate a proven conservative who has fought consistently for working men and women and to defend the Constitution," Cruz said.
The Texas senator emphasized the importance of the Republican Party coming together, in order fight for conservative principles and policies.
"From this day forward, let us together show that Reagan's love, optimism and faith in the American people were not misplaced," Cruz said. "Once again, we can have morning in America."
