A touching video of a veterinarian comforting a puppy outside of surgery is melting hearts everywhere.

The clip shows surgical assistant Dennis Moses at a Baltimore animal shelter cradling the scared pup, named Meesha.

“Baby Meesha was coming off her anesthesia and was a little scared because her body felt so weird,” explained the BARCS Animal Shelter.

“One of our awesome volunteers just happened to be walking by to capture this sweet moment. Thank you to Dennis and all the staff who work long, tireless hours in the background of our shelter—saving lives and loving the animals.”

And since fans can’t get enough of this adorable dog, the shelter later posted an update of Meesha, resting with family at home.
