Christian Bakers Who Refused to Make Cake for Same-Sex Wedding Speak Out
Forced to shut down shop for following their religious beliefs, two Christian bakers broke a government-ruled gag order and spoke out on "The Kelly File" tonight.
Melissa and Aaron Klein, who own Sweet Cakes By Melissa bake shop in Gresham, Oregon, explained to Martha MacCallum that they were ordered by the state to pay a $135,000 fine to a lesbian couple after refusing to bake them a wedding cake.
Melissa revealed that they have since closed their shop, and she regularly receives threatening, harassing emails.
Aaron said despite the trials and tribulations they have been through, he would do the same thing again and be true to his religious beliefs.
He explained that they never turned away a customer, they simply declined to make a cake for a same-sex wedding.
