Mitt Romney said on "Your World" today that Donald Trump has the clearest path to be the Republican presidential nominee, but he still wants to see Trump show his back taxes for several years.

"We have good reason to believe that there is a bombshell in Donald Trump's taxes," Romney said.

He explained that Trump may not be as wealthy as he claims, or perhaps he hasn't been paying the amount of taxes he should or possibly hasn't been donating to charities like he's claimed.

Romney said he suspects a "bombshell" because every time Trump is asked about his taxes, he dodges and delays.

The 2012 GOP presidential nominee pointed out that he released in own back taxes in January 2012.

"We're now, you know, in late February and we still haven't seen either Donald Trump's or Marco Rubio's or Ted Cruz's taxes," Romney said. "Frankly, the voters have a right to see those tax returns before they decide who our nominee ought to be."

"People have a right to know if there's a problem in those taxes before they decide."
