Black Lives Matter Cries 'White Supremacy' after Holding 'Color-Only' Meeting

After winning the closest-ever finish of the Daytona 500 Sunday, NASCAR star Denny Hamlin shared a note that he wrote in elementary school about someday winning the historic race.

The note, penned by Hamlin in 1987, stated that "my wish is to win the Daytona 500."

"It's real now," Hamlin wrote on the tweet.

The 35-year-old Hamlin, a Virginia native, started racing go-karts right around the time he wrote the note.

Hamlin also mentioned his boyhood idol, NASCAR Hall of Famer Bill Elliott, in the note and the million dollars that would come with winning the Great American Race.

If you missed the amazing finish of yesterday's race, watch below via Fox Sports, as Hamlin's #11 FedEx Toyota Camry edged Martin Truex Jr. at the finish line by just inches!
