Cruz Dismisses Top Campaign Staffer Rick Tyler After Falsified Rubio Video

This Amazing Video Imagines Donald Trump as a Game of Thrones Character

On Special Report tonight, Charles Krauthammer reacted to Ted Cruz asking for the resignation of national spokesman Rick Tyler after Tyler was linked to a video that falsely depicted Marco Rubio disparaging the Bible.

"I’ve spent this morning investigating what happened, and this morning I asked for Rick Tyler’s resignation,” Cruz told reporters at a news conference in Las Vegas today. “I have made clear in this campaign that we will conduct this campaign with the very highest standards of integrity."

Krauthammer explained that Cruz had to do something to counteract the growing narrative that he is running a dirty campaign.

He said that asking for Tyler's resignation, however, actually highlights the issue, because it makes it a major news story and gives Cruz's adversaries - like Rubio and Donald Trump - a chance to pile on.

"I'm not sure he's cured this problem at all," Krauthammer stated.
