Rubio: 'This Has Become a Three-Person Race'

WATCH: Trump Gives Victory Speech from South Carolina

We’ve all heard about the so-called “mainstream Republicans” who’d like to stop Donald Trump from getting the GOP nomination.

But after last night’s decisive win for the billionaire businessman, their only hope of beating Trump lies with calling on the remaining “losing candidates” to drop out, said Charles Krauthammer.

Megyn asked Krauthammer to react to comments like this one.

Krauthammer responded that for Trump opponents, “the panic had set in before New Hampshire.”

“Look, the panic ought to be there right now,” he added. “If you don’t have the field winnowing to three, then I don’t see how Trump is stopped.”

Krauthammer also pointed out that Trump had received more than 30 percent of the vote in South Carolina’s primary last night.

“In a three-way race, that’s a dead heat with the other two,” he said.

“The losing candidates are going to be the ones who have the decisive effect on the trajectory of the campaign.”
