A New Jersey mailman called for help after a pack of wild turkeys surrounded his truck.

The postmaster then called Hillsdale police to tell them that the mail carrier was being "attacked" by the turkeys.

He explained that the turkeys are pretty ornery, routinely trying to bite mail carriers and chasing trucks.

Police officers responded to the scene and their sirens quickly scattered the birds.

According to WABC in New York, the wild turkeys are a recurring problem for mail carriers and locals.
