A dog was saved from a burning home by firefighters in Sacramento, California, and it was all caught on helmet cam.

During an early morning house fire on Wednesday, firefighters entered the home to search for victims and help locate the source of the fire.

They didn't find any people, but they did discover a dog in her hiding place in a back bedroom.

The helmet cam footage shows the firefighters safely evacuate the pooch, reuniting with her happy owners on the sidewalk outside.

All the occupants of the home all got out safely, thanks to a working smoke detector.
