O'Reilly: 'Much Easier to Cry Racism Than Address Root Causes of Violent Crime'
In his Talking Points Memo tonight, Bill O'Reilly said that Democratic presidential contender Bernie Sanders must get African-American votes to compete with Hillary Clinton in South Carolina and Nevada.
O'Reilly pointed out that Sanders started campaigning for those votes last night during his New Hampshire victory speech.
O'Reilly said that Sanders is a straight-talker, but not on race issues.
"Here’s the truth: African-Americans make up 13 percent of the total population in the USA, but commit 37 percent of all murders," O'Reilly said. "90 percent of black murder victims are killed by other blacks."
He said that neither Sanders nor Clinton will ever mention those statistics.
"It’s much easier to cry racism than actually address the root causes of violent crime, which are a corrosive culture and the collapse of the traditional family," O'Reilly said.
"Most politicians will never tell you the truth about social problems, preferring to pander."
