Cam Newton just spoke for the first time since walking out of his post-Super Bowl 50 press conference.

The NFL MVP took criticism after the Panthers' loss to Denver for sulking and for appearing to be a sore loser.

He abruptly left after taking a few questions about the team's second loss of the season.

Newton was asked by reporters today about his post-game conduct, and said he's "on record as being a sore loser."

"Who likes to lose? You show me a good loser and I’ll show you a loser," he added, quoting legendary coach Vince Lombardi.

Newton said he's human and has never "proclaimed" to be perfect.

"It's not a popularity contest. I'm here to win football games," he concluded.
