Gutfeld Calls Out Christie for Attacking Rubio, Steering Clear of Trump
On "The Five" today, Greg Gutfeld reacted to Saturday's GOP debate, particularly Chris Christie becoming the "hired hitman" to help other Republican candidates take down the surging Marco Rubio.
Gutfeld said that Christie may have made some good points about the Florida senator, but he refused to take on the leader of the pack: Donald Trump
Gutfeld said that the New Jersey governor had tons of bravado when he was going after Rubio, but he displayed none of that toward an even less experienced candidate in Trump.
"Christie picked on the new kid, Rubio, but steered clear of the big man on campus. That was Trump," Gutfeld said.
He wondered if that was deliberate, either out of fear or friendship.
"What I do know is, saying that you don't want another young, likeable senator as a candidate may be a mistake. Obama, a progressive, still won, twice. That's huge success. Though not our kind of success. But maybe it should be, for once."
