Well, that escalated quickly.

Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright made her case for Hillary Clinton in the Granite State today, imploring female New Hampshire voters in particular to show up for Tuesday’s primary.

“We can tell our story about how we climb the ladder, and a lot of you younger women don’t think you have to,” she told the audience at a rally in Concord, New Hampshire.

Albright suggested that many already think the fight for women’s progress has “been done.”

“It’s not done,” she declared. “And you have to help. Hillary Clinton will always be there for you.”

Then Albright added this: “Just remember, there’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help each other.”

Though prompting raucous laughter and cheers from the crowd, the statement is also raising some eyebrows, Ed Henry reported on America’s News Headquarters.

Meanwhile, Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) also delivered his own impassioned endorsement for Clinton, saying, “We have not seen a person as qualified as her for the White House since George Washington.”
