Before Amanda and Dan Tallman tied the knot five years ago, the wife-to-be came up with a hilarious and blunt wedding band inscription for her husband: "Put it back on."

An image of the tongue-in-cheek engraving was shared on Reddit earlier this week and has been viewed nearly one million times.

Dan said that his wife is a "prankster" with a great sense of humor, and that only makes their marriage stronger.

"Some people are commenting that she must be insecure or something, but it’s quite the opposite. People tell us we have the best marriage they’ve ever seen," Dan told ABC News.

After three children and five years of marriage, Dan thinks his ring is just as entertaining as it was the first time he saw it.

"We ordered the ring at the jeweler and she slipped the lady a note and then when the ring came in I saw it for the first time," he recalled. "I just laughed. That’s Amanda in nutshell."
