Rick Santorum suspended his presidential campaign and came out in support of Marco Rubio live on On the Record.

"He's the new generation," the former Pennsylvania senator said of Senator Rubio.

Santorum came in 11th place and picked up just 1 percent of the Iowa vote, despite winning the caucuses when he ran for the Republican nomination four years ago.

He's the fourth White House hopeful to drop out of the race this week, after Republicans Sen. Rand Paul, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and Democratic former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley.

Rubio said he was excited to get the endorsement and that they want to use him as often as he's willing to work for them.
