Trump Slams 'Unfair' Media Coverage of Iowa Caucus Loss

In his Talking Points Memo tonight, Bill O'Reilly said that CNN's misleading reporting about Ben Carson's presidential campaign hurt Carson's performance in the Iowa caucus voting, which is an indictment of the state of American journalism.

O'Reilly explained that Ted Cruz’s campaign used CNN's erroneous reporting to tell Iowa voters that the retired neurosurgeon was suspending his presidential bid.

"The Cruz campaign used a false report by CNN to damage the Carson campaign," O'Reilly stated.

He said that the Cruz campaign was wrong to run with the inaccurate reporting, but it's CNN that "screwed up big time."

"The state of American journalism is on the verge of collapse," O'Reilly said. "This has permeated hard news coverage, and honest reporting is becoming almost scarce, especially in political circles."

"CNN should apologize, Ted Cruz should take some action, and this should never again happen. The Carson campaign was damaged by erroneous information, period."
