'Luckiest Dog in the World' Survives Being Shot With an Arrow
WARNING: Image Could Be Disturbing
A stray dog is on the mend after somebody shot her in the back with an arrow in Regina, Canada.
Caillin Rodonets, who runs a dog rescue group called CCResQs, said she got a call from a woman who found a dog bleeding on her property.
The dog, which she called Arrow, was operated on at a veterinarian clinic. The doctor said that Arrow is "the luckiest dog in the world" because the projectile missed her spinal cord by millimeters.
According to a CCResQs Facebook post, Arrow has broken pieces of vertebrae floating around in her body still, so she's not out of the woods yet.
Doctors, however, anticipate that Arrow will make a full recovery with a couple of weeks of rest, along with pain medications and antibiotics. A foster home has already agreed to take her in and give her a loving home as she heals.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police have been notified, but they currently have no leads to go on.
