'Little Help Here?!': Sloth Gets Stuck on Roadside Guardrail

A 99-year-old woman in Miami got the shock of her life one morning when she woke up to find an exotic critter perched on her chest.

The woman, who apparently didn’t know where this creature had come from – or even what it was – called her son-in-law.

“I was awakened by a phone call at 2 a.m., which is never good news,” Carlos Aguaras told local station WTVJ.

As it turns out, that animal was an escaped kinkajou – a member of the raccoon family also known as “honey bears.”

Kinkajous live in the rainforests of South and Central America and are regular invaders of beehives, according to experts.

Some of us may also remember back when the animal was Paris Hilton’s favorite pet, Baby Luv.

The woman’s son-in-law reportedly ended up rushing over and finding the animal up in the attic. After luring it into a cage, he brought it to the vet.

The kinkajou has since been identified as a local resident’s pet named Banana, and was picked up by its owner on Wednesday morning.
